Roland DGA Announces Expanded Born-to-Wrap Workshop Schedule

A total of 26 classes will be held in a dozen different locations around the U.S.

roland_workshop_275Irvine, California-based Roland DGA, a global manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and 3D printing devices, announces its 2019 Born-to-Wrap workshop schedule, and according to the company its’ the company’s most extensive in the more than 12 years it’s been offering classes.

The company is offering a total of 26 vehicle wrap classes in 12 different locations throughout the U.S. this year.

This company says that this year, in addition to its comprehensive two-day “Basics and Beyond” wrap workshops, Roland DGA will also be offering specialized 4-hour “Skills Training” and free 3-hour “Inside the Wrap Shop” classes, to be held in conjunction with many of THE NBM SHOWs taking place nationwide in 2019. In all, a total of 26 Born-to-Wrap classes will be conducted-all led by the experts from Louisville, Kentucky-based Digital EFX Wraps, renowned for their vehicle wrap installation and business management instruction.

Partnering with Roland DGA are media manufacturers Arlon, Avery Dennison, ORAFOL, and 3M. In addition to supplying wrap film and laminate for use in the classes, the companies are also providing free wrap media kits to those who attend a Born-to-Wrap “Basics and Beyond” or “Skills Training” workshop.

The two-day Basics and Beyond workshops are designed for new wrap business owners and installers. The class provides a thorough overview of the vehicle wrap process and what it takes to run a successful wrap shop. Attendees will also receive pointers for getting the most out of their wide-format digital printing equipment for vehicle wrap and graphics applications.

Designed for those on a tighter schedule, the shorter Skills Training and Inside the Wrap Shop classes also provide valuable instruction compacted into a shorter time span. The half-day Skills Training class is centered around wrap installation with hands-on instruction in a simulated shop environment, while the free, 3-hour, business-oriented Inside the Wrap Shop sessions focus on establishing and operating a successful wrap operation.

“We’re very excited about our expanded 2019 Born-to-Wrap workshops schedule for 2019, which offers many different instructional opportunities in locations across the country,” says Daniel Valade, Roland DGA product manager, color products and cutters. “The new half-day classes are the perfect complement to our always popular two-day workshops, especially for those already planning to attend The NBM Shows being held in those cities.”
