Caldera Software Company Announces a Management Change
Samin Sarkar has been with Caldera since August of 2018.
RIP software specialists Caldera, a France-based division of Downers Grove, Illinois-based Dover Corp., announces the departure of Joseph Mergui, founder and president. Mergui founded the software company more than 25 years ago in Strasbourg, France, and it now has operations in Brazil, Italy, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Argentina and China, and here in the U.S. in Minneapolis.
After having grown Caldera into a successful company with an international reputation, Mergui transferred ownership in 2017 to Dover Digital Printing.
“It has been a privilege to lead and grow Caldera for 28 years and a pleasure to have worked with an extremely strong, talented and dedicated team,” Mergui says. “I have no doubt on the fact that Caldera will continue growing and being a key player in the digital printing market. I personally have decided to move on to pursue new projects.”
Replacing Mergui will be Samin Sarkar, who will serve as general manager of Caldera.
“To follow in the footsteps of a great founder and industry giant is a privilege that few receive,” Sarkar says. “I am confident that the Caldera team will continue to break new frontiers, and wish Joseph all success in the next chapter of his journey.”
