Real Motion Director Hired
Float4 is a Montreal company specializing in things such as dynamic video walls and interactive displays.
RealMotion, a newly formed venture spun out of Montreal-based experiential design firm Float4, is developing a real-time platform for prototyping, execution and monitoring immersive and interactive digital environments and it has hired industry veteran Geoffrey Platt as director.
Platt has 20 years experience in digital environments, including time at Christie, where he oversaw the company’s “Pandoras Box” server system, which features real-time compositing in 3D. In his new role with RealMotion, he will be responsible for directing the progression of the brand, expanding into new markets and developing revenue streams.
“The stage is being set for a series of upgrades to the RealMotion (server) platform, and Geoffrey Platt is going to play a critical role in helping us and our customers take full advantage of new and upcoming RealMotion capabilities,” says Alexandre Simionescu, the founder of Float4.
