Roland DGA Announces Two-Day Born to Wrap Workshop
Roland DGA holds Born to Wrap workshops at various locations around North America each year. The next one is in mid-November.
Roland DGA announces an upcoming two-day workshop, “Born to Wrap: The Basics and Beyond,” coming up on Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 13 and 14, at the company’s regional supply center in Salt Lake City.
The company says the workshop, sponsored by Avery Dennison, is designed to teach attendees everything they need to know about getting started in the wraps business. The experts at Louisville, Kentucky’s Digital EFX Wraps will demonstrate the tools and techniques needed, as well as provide hands-on instruction.
Among the topics will be the various types of wraps, including full and partial; how to estimate jobs and determine your real-world costs; how to set up files and other technical considerations to ensure quality graphics; vehicle preparation techniques; and expert finishing tips.
The company says the workshop is not just geared toward installers. Graphic designers, production managers, printer operators, and shop owners and managers can also benefit from the two days.
The registration cost is $649, and includes: a personal tool belt with application tools; one Avery Dennison 54″ x 25-yard roll of MPI1105/DOL1360z film, itself a $700 value; a complimentary catered breakfast and lunch during training; a certificate of completion; and media books and literature to help jumpstart your vehicle wrap knowledge.
