LogoJET Founder and CEO Susan Cox was honored with the Dave Swormstedt, Sr. Memorial Award for Best in Category (Digital) at the PRINTING United Expo for her technical article, “Adhesion Guide.”
The Dave Swormstedt, Sr. Memorial Award recognizes outstanding technical writing that contributes to the advancement of screen and digital printing. The award was established in memory of Dave Swormstedt, Sr., longtime editor of Signs of the Times magazine, and is judged annually by members of the Academy of Screen and Digital Printing Technologies (ASDPT). Winners are selected for their ability to share complex technical knowledge in a way that educates, inspires, and elevates the print community.
The “Adhesion Guide” focuses on one of the most critical and often misunderstood aspects of UV digital printing — adhesion. The piece explores the science behind ink bonding, surface energy, and substrate compatibility, and provides readers with practical solutions to improve print quality and reliability. Through this guide, Cox offers valuable insights to help printers achieve stronger adhesion across a range of challenging materials, including glass, metal, and plastic.
