Rowmark LLC, manufacturer of engravable sheet plastic for the awards, engraving, and signage markets, was presented with the Performance Plastics Association (IAPD) Environmental Excellence Silver Award at the 66th annual IAPD convention in Chicago. The award is presented to companies for their demonstrated success with environmental and sustainability programs.

“The Rowmark Group takes great pride in being a responsible, environmentally conscious manufacturer,” stated  Glenn Arbaugh, The Rowmark Group (TRG) vice president of operations. “From our closed-loop plastic manufacturing process, where 99.6% of all plastic ends up in a finished product or recycled, to our internal recycling and energy-saving programs, we place a constant emphasis on sustainability and are honored to receive this award from the IAPD.”

The IAPD Environmental Committee established the Environmental Excellence Awards to celebrate the innovative or exemplary environmental responsibility by a member company. The award criteria recognize the IAPD members who have adopted practices in their operations that demonstrate new and creative initiatives in sustainability.

The awards are based on a point system, with those earning 150 points or more receiving the Gold Award, those earning 125–149 points receiving the Silver Award, and those earning 100–124 points receiving the Bronze Award. All entries that earn 100 points or more also receive a GreenScene Certificate.

IAPD congratulates all award recipients and encourages all non-member performance plastics companies to learn more about the environmental sustainability of performance plastics.
