
Last week at GRAPHICS PRO EXPO in Long Beach, California, WRAPSCON hosted its 2025 Wrap Olympics, a one-of-a-kind wraps event designed to test the skills and mental toughness of 50 two-person teams as they battle through a grueling elimination competition. In addition, this year’s competition also featured a wall wrap challenge and timed bonus rounds at exhibitors’ booths.

To celebrate the competitive spirit of everyone who participated, each competitor received a contest shirt, a 30-second highlight video, and a swag bag to prove that they dared to throw down.
The competition brought in teams and sponsors from across the globe. This year’s sponsors included: Orafol, JDS Industries, Arlon Graphics, General Formulations, RC Wrap, and Quad Film. Mutoh was the print sponsor for the event, and sponsor WrapMerch supplied fatigue mats and gloves.
This year’s WRAP Olympics judges included: Jen Carney of Carbon Wraps, Steve Carney of Carbon Wraps, Kevin Kempf of PG NOLA, Starla Miller of Miller Decals, Luis Tirado of WBC Graphics, and Jamison Traw of Wrapix Academy.
Throughout each round of the competition, teams were judged on the following:
- Safety deductions:
- Blade safety/use of BladeCage
- Safe use of heat gun, other tools
- Awareness of extension cords, other competitors, tools, etc.
- Cleaning deductions:
- Main and inside surface
- Uses squeegee
- Removal and discard of all materials following the round
- Quality deductions:
- Bubbles
- Jagged or uneven cuts
- Patches
- Overstretched material
- Loose edges
- Debris under the wrap
- X Factors:
- Professionalism (attitude towards judges/emcee/other competitors), teamwork/organization/planning
- Working within the contest rules and parameters
- On printed stages — understanding and utilizing the design and its elements
