Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation (SEC), hired Matt Petry as vice president of the West region of SIICA’s direct sales and services operations for Sharp Business Systems (SBS).

In this role, Petry will lead the strategic direction and performance of SBS operations across the Western U.S., with a focus on growth, customer engagement, and operational efficiency. He will report to Joe O’Malley, senior vice president, SBS.

Petry brings a strong leadership background across finance, sales, and general management, with more than a decade of executive experience at Xerox and its subsidiary, Global Imaging Systems (GIS). His roles at GIS included chief financial officer, vice president of sales for strategic and national accounts, and president of Zeno Office Solutions. During his tenure, he is said to have driven significant turnaround results, earning national recognition for top-line growth, profitability, and employee retention.

“Matt’s ability to build high-performing teams, optimize business operations, and deliver measurable impact is a strong match for the opportunities ahead in the West Region,” said Joe O’Malley, senior vice president, Sharp Business Systems. “His multi-dimensional leadership experience and deep roots in the imaging industry will help us continue delivering excellence to our customers and partners.”

Prior to joining SBS, Petry served as EVP & CFO of Alarm Detection Systems, where he helped modernize the organization and lead it through a phase of rapid, profitable growth. His early career in public accounting at PwC laid a foundation for his analytical and performance-driven approach to business leadership.

“I’m excited to join the Sharp family, given its high-integrity and people-focused business philosophy in delivering results,” said Petry. “This organization has an incredible legacy with a collaborative and strategic approach that will drive iterative success for years to come.”
