Charles River Apparel earns EcoVadis Bronze Medal
The company ranked in the top 9% for sustainable procurement.

Charles River Apparel has been awarded a Bronze Medal from EcoVadis, on its first-ever submission.
EcoVadis is a platform for evaluating corporate sustainability and evaluates companies across four key areas: environmental impact, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Charles River Apparel performed particularly well in sustainable procurement, ranking in the top 9% of companies within its industry.
“This recognition from EcoVadis means a lot to us — not just because of where we ranked, but because of what it reflects,” said Jason Lipsett, president of Charles River Apparel. “It affirms that the actions we’ve made are creating real impact. We’re proud of this progress and focused on continuing to go further.”
As part of that commitment, Charles River Apparel said it is ensuring all new styles moving forward will incorporate environmentally conscious materials, such as recycled polyester and organic cotton. The company also continues to expand its eco collection and implement operational initiatives to reduce its carbon footprint, including participation in the UPS Carbon Neutral Shipping program, which offsets emissions associated with product delivery.
That environmental responsibility extends to partnerships with charitable organizations. This month, Charles River Apparel will once again sponsor and participate in the Charles River Watershed Association’s annual Earth Day Cleanup. Employees will volunteer to help clean areas along the Charles River — the company’s namesake — by removing litter, managing invasive species, and restoring green spaces.
On a national level, Charles River Apparel supports American Rivers, a leading nonprofit working to make every river clean and healthy for people and wildlife across the U.S. The company contributed $25,000 toward nationwide river conservation, restoration, and advocacy.
These collective efforts reflect the very standards recognized in its EcoVadis Bronze Medal rating, with continued progress already underway. The company said it will continue to participate in EcoVadis assessments annually and anticipates even higher recognition as it advances its sustainability journey.
