MADE Lab recently announced WB|Week 2025, an immersive three-day water-based screen-printing event, hosted at the ROQ headquarters in Clermont, Florida. The event is broken into two parts: WB|Basics (Feb. 27) and WB|Camp (Feb. 28-March 1).

This year’s event brings together a lineup of industry leaders, including key innovators like Ray Smith, John MaGee from Avient, Nathan Foster, and Ben Strawn from the powerhouse brand B-Unlimited, Dave Makin from Saati Chemistry, and a personalized shop tour and production printing section by Jeremiah Bates and Luke Wycuff from Real Thread.

“With two cornerstone events — WB|Basics and WB|Camp — this action-packed week offers something for every level of screen printer, from beginners to seasoned professionals ready to push the boundaries of what’s possible in water-based printing,” stated the company in a press release.

WB|Basics (Feb. 27): Laying the foundation for success

The week kicks off with WB|Basics, a one-day, hands-on workshop designed to teach essential water-based and discharge printing techniques. Led by Ray Smith and John MaGee from Avient, alongside Dave Makin from Saati, this workshop will demystify the technical foundations of water-based printing, covering stencil-making, ink handling, and application techniques to achieve retail-quality results.

WB|Camp (Feb. 28–March 1): Advanced techniques for elite printers

For those ready to take their skills to the next level, WB|Camp offers an in-depth, two-day workshop that dives deep into advanced water-based techniques and innovation. Highlights include:

  • Real Thread field trip: Experience a live high-color-count HSA (High Solids Acrylic) job on press and tour Real Thread’s state-of-the-art fulfillment facility with Luke Wycuff and Jeremiah Bates.
  • Expert insights: Gain insider knowledge on designing for retail-quality water-based prints, led by Nathan Foster and Ben Strawn of B-Unlimited, who’ve pioneered the use of water-based printing to elevate collegiate and retail apparel.
