Geiger, a family-owned and Maine-based global promotional products distributor, announced it has been awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Medal for 2024.

This distinction places Geiger among the top 1% of companies assessed worldwide for sustainability practices, underscoring its dedication to excellence in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.

EcoVadis, a global provider of business sustainability ratings, evaluates companies across four key pillars: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. To achieve a Platinum designation, companies must score above 80% overall, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainable practices.

Achieving a 99th percentile ranking, Geiger has demonstrated leadership across key sustainability dimensions. The company earned an exceptionally high score in the environmental category, which is said to reflect its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, optimizing energy consumption, and minimizing waste.

Geiger’s global reach also contributes to its sustainability leadership as well. Its UK division has maintained its Platinum EcoVadis status for the third consecutive year, and Geiger’s German division (recently acquired WER GmbH), received a Bronze medal in 2024.

“Receiving the EcoVadis Platinum rating is a testament to the culture of sustainability ingrained in every aspect of our operations,” said David Geiger, incoming president of Geiger. “From investing in solar panels at our headquarters to educating our sales force and customers in eco-friendly materials to fostering inclusivity within our workforce, we are committed to making a meaningful impact for our planet and future generations.”

This recognition is valid through December 2025 and is said to reflect Geiger’s ongoing journey toward sustainability and innovation.
