Earlier this month, Signarama celebrated Sign Manufacturing Day (Oct. 4) with a student open house event.

As part of Signarama’s Sign Manufacturing Day initiative, the brand’s West Palm Beach, Florida, location opened its doors to local college students from Florida Atlantic University, Palm Beach Atlantic University, and Lynn University for an immersive day of learning.

This event, aimed at educating the next generation about diverse career opportunities in the signage industry, offered students a unique behind-the-scenes experience, starting with inspiring opening remarks from Ray Titus, CEO of Signarama and United Franchise Group, about the company’s history as well as the industry’s potential. The students then enjoyed a comprehensive tour of the facility led by Lino DeFeo, owner of Signarama West Palm Beach, gaining insights into the day-to-day operations of a thriving sign business.

The highlight of the event was an interactive demonstration with Chris Acuna, Signarama corporate trainer, where students had the exciting opportunity to create their own signs.

According to the company, this hands-on experience provided a tangible glimpse into the creative and technical aspects of sign manufacturing.

“It was incredibly rewarding to see the students’ enthusiasm as they created their own signs. At Signarama, we’re passionate about showcasing the diverse career paths within our industry. From design and fabrication to installation and business management, there’s a world of opportunity in signage,” remarked Acuna.

Acuna continued, “By giving students hands-on experience and insight into our work, we’re not just educating them — we’re inspiring the next generation of sign industry professionals. Events like Sign Manufacturing Day are crucial in bridging the gap between education and real-world application, and we’re proud to play a part in shaping the future of our industry.”

Through this educational outreach, Signarama says it continues its commitment to inspiring and preparing future professionals for rewarding careers in the dynamic world of signage.
