STAHLS’ Announces Dream Shop Package Winners for Q4 2023
Country Hillside Designs and Jayhawk-Linn High School are the final two Stahl Family Scholarship winners of 2023.
STAHLS’ has announced the final two Stahl Family Scholarship winners of 2023.
The Stahl Family Scholarship was founded in 2020 and was designed to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit by rewarding small businesses. In 2022, the giveaway expanded to award eight total winners per year, with one small business and one school selected quarterly.
Stahl Family Scholarship winners each receive specialized Dream Shop packages, valued at over $6,000 and complete with everything needed to be successful in the heat printing industry. Winners are chosen by a panel of industry experts and gain access to personalized training from the STAHLS’ team.
The 2023 Q4 winners are Country Hillside Designs, a small-town business in rural North Dakota
excited to grow, and Jayhawk-Linn High School, a school that fosters entrepreneurial development through business and graphic design programs, as well as a campus store, located in Mound City, Kansas.
School winner: Jayhawk-Linn High School
According to STAHLS’, Jayhawk-Linn High School is a prime example of fostering entrepreneurial spirit and graphic arts education. Offering programs like “Intro to Business,” “Intro to Entrepreneurship,” “Graphic Design,” and “Graphic Design Project Management,” the school has made significant strides in providing students with a well-rounded learning experience. The Red Thread school store, initiated this year, has not only become a thriving business but also a community hub for affordable, customized apparel. Terri Gentry, the teacher who applied for this scholarship, is excited for the industry insights and training from STAHLS’ professionals, enriching both students and the community.

Country Hillside Designs exemplifies determination and innovation in the small-town rural business landscape. Currently offering embroidery, digital print/cut, and heat printing services, their goals for the next 12 months include expanding their shop, updating their online presence, and employing full-time staff.
