Any tips for pretreating smaller garments on a pretreat machine?
Some pretreaters will always spray the same width every time, which can be challenging for smaller garments where the spray width exceeds the size of the garment. This full spray makes it harder to cure the shirt properly and can cause a mess inside of the machine.
One good tip is to rotate your shirt 90 degrees on the platen. Then you can use the spray length to control how far across it will spray. Another option is to lay pieces of paper atop the sides of the garment to block the full spray width. If you are pretreating something other than a shirt (e.g., the side of a shoe), try loading a junk shirt on the platen first and then place the item on top of it. This junk shirt will absorb the overspray.
