Big Frog Custom T-shirts & More celebrates Charleston grand opening
Dave Lindgren & Erin Lindgren have officially opened their franchise location in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More, a custom apparel franchise, has officially opened its newest location in the Charleston area. The new locally owned and operated location, led by Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, residents Dave Lindgren and Erin Lindgren, opened on March 11 at 1161 Oakland Market Road in Mount Pleasant.
“We are excited to welcome Dave and Erin to the Big Frog family and to see them bring Big Frog to the Charleston market,” said Tina Bacon-DeFrece, president and co-founder. “Their passion for community involvement, combined with their sales and marketing backgrounds, makes them a great fit for the brand. We’re confident they’ll quickly become a go-to resource for custom apparel in the Mount Pleasant and greater Charleston area.”
After more than a decade in Mount Pleasant, the Lindgrens saw Big Frog as an opportunity to build something of their own while staying deeply connected to the community they call home. Erin Lindgren brings nearly 20 years of experience in marketing, branding, and sales coaching, while Dave Lindgren spent more than two decades in the employee benefits industry — experience he says prepared him to step into business ownership with confidence. Together, the couple is eager to build a family-focused business that allows them to be present for their children while also supporting local organizations.
“We’re excited to work for ourselves, make our own decisions, and build something that’s meaningful,” Dave Lindgren said. “What stood out about Big Frog was the community involvement — working with small businesses, schools, churches, nonprofits, and youth sports. It felt like something we could really have an impact with.”
Erin Lindgren, who also works part-time at a local wine bar and helps run events and marketing, says she’s already using her day-to-day connections as a networking engine for the new store.
“I did a lot of market research, even ordering from a local competitor, and the turnaround was four to six weeks — and the quality wasn’t where it should be,” Erin Lindgren said. “Big Frog gives customers professional quality with quick turnaround and a creative, hands-on process. When Dave first brought it to me, I said, ‘Yeah — let’s go.’”
Located in Oakland Market — a high-traffic retail center anchored by major retailers and surrounded by restaurants, fitness, and service businesses — the Lindgrens’ Big Frog offers a full suite of decorating services, including direct-to-garment printing, direct-to-film printing, embroidery, vinyl, ultra print heat transfers, and screen printing.
The Lindgrens plan to become active partners in the community from day one. With children involved in local athletics, they’re already building relationships with schools and youth sports organizations, and Erin Lindgren says she’s compiling a growing list of marketing and partnership ideas, from pop-up events to community fundraising collaborations. Dave Lindgren added that he’s also eager to support local public-service organizations and small medical and veterinary practices with uniform and apparel needs.
“Giving back is really important to me — it’s something my parents instilled in me at a very young age,” Erin Lindgren said. “We want to build a business we’re proud of, and we want to use it to support the community and teach our kids that same mindset.”
