NASHVILLE-The Tennessee State University (TSU) Department of Athletics announces a multiyear agreement with Nike through BSN Sports. The deal makes Nike the exclusive apparel and equipment provider for the school.

“I am very pleased to have TSU Athletics in a new partnership with BSN/Nike for the provider of equipment and apparel for our sport programs,” says Teresa Phillips, director of athletics at the university in a press release on TSU’s website. “We had enjoyed a good relationship for a decade with another major player in sport apparel and simply sought to discover what brand would be best for our student-athletes moving forward.”

The agreement lasts five years and sees Nike as the apparel and equipment provider for all 15 athletic programs at TSU. The deal also encompasses Nike footwear and accessories for the university’s athletic teams.

“We are looking forward to partnering with Tennessee State University and Nike in providing the finest apparel and athletic products” states Todd Northrop, collegiate select senior vice president at BSN Sports. “This agreement affirms our highest aspirations for BSN’s Collegiate Select program: delivering elite, customized products and services to our college customers.”

The agreement marks the second major collegiate apparel deal for Nike in the region in recent months. In March 2019, Nike and BSN SPORTS entered into a deal with the East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, as the official apparel, footwear, and equipment providers for Buccaneer athletics.
