Q-Tees expands educational & community support through AZ School initiative

Q-Tees is continuing its long-term commitment to community development through the expansion of AZ School, an educational initiative serving children and families in a remote village near Sakhro City in rural Sindh, Pakistan.
What began as a response to urgent educational needs has grown into a comprehensive support system for more than 250 students and their families. The initiative provides free education, school supplies, uniforms, meals, sanitation infrastructure, and family assistance to help remove the barriers that often prevent children in underserved communities from attending school regularly.
Prior to the creation of AZ School, the village had only a neglected hut-like government school with little access to consistent education. In 2015, UNICEF provided a temporary tent classroom to support local children, offering a short-term solution while broader challenges remained unresolved.
Q-Tees became aware of the conditions through its local presence near its organic cotton fields and ongoing visits to the region. After witnessing firsthand the educational and living hardships faced by families in the area, the company chose to invest directly in long-term community support.AZ School represents more than a school building, it represents opportunity, dignity, and hope for children and families who have faced significant challenges for years.
In addition to providing classrooms and educational resources, Q-Tees supports students through free uniforms, books, notebooks, stationery, breakfast, and lunch programs. The company also provides monthly ration support for families to help reduce food insecurity and improve household stability.
Understanding the importance of local connection and communication, Q-Tees hired Sindhi-speaking teachers from the surrounding area to help create a more accessible and culturally familiar learning environment for students.
Beyond education, the initiative also focuses on health, hygiene, and infrastructure improvements. Q-Tees constructed modern washroom facilities for both the school and village community to improve sanitation access and promote hygiene awareness. The company has also begun gradually improving homes for families living in especially difficult conditions.
According to Q-Tees, life in the region remains challenging, with seasonal flooding and summer temperatures regularly exceeding 45°C. Despite these hardships, AZ School continues to grow and has become a symbol of progress within the community.
