HanesBrands Unveils Plan to Appoint New CFO

Hanesbrands announces that chief financial officer Barry A. Hytinen has decided to leave the company. 

hytinenWINSTON-SALEM, N.C.-Hanesbrands announces that chief financial officer Barry A. Hytinen has decided to leave the company. According to HanesBrands, Hytinen recently accepted “another career opportunity outside of the apparel industry.”

With the announcement, HanesBrands says it plans to search for a new CFO with the help of an outside firm. The company is considering both internal and external candidates. Meantime, Hytinen continues to serve as CFO through the end of the company’s fiscal year on Dec. 28.

“Barry is a talented finance professional, and we appreciate his contributions over the past two years to strategy development and to strengthening our finance organization,” says Hanes CEO Gerald W. Evans Jr. “Barry is leaving us with an excellent global finance organization, and we remain committed to our ‘Sell More, Spend Less, and Generate Cash’ corporate strategic initiatives. We wish Barry well in his future endeavors.”
