This year, Durst celebrates 90 years of innovation — a journey said to be defined by curiosity, courage, and a constant drive to move forward.

In 1936, two brothers, Julius Durst and Gilbert Durst, laid the foundation in a small photo workshop in Brixen, South Tyrol, for what is today the Durst Group. Ninety years later, that workshop has evolved into a global manufacturer of industrial digital printing and additive manufacturing systems.

“From our early beginnings to becoming a global technology supplier, one thing has always remained the same: we never stop improving,” stated the company in a press release. “While we proudly look back on the milestones that shaped our story, we are just as focused on what comes next. Because creating the future has already begun.”

The anniversary year will be marked by the inaugural Durst Next Technology Festival, held at the company’s headquarters in Brixen, Italy, on June 26. The two-day cultural statement and global summit will bring together industry leaders, founders, and entrepreneurs with live technology demonstrations, panels, keynote sessions, and exhibits.

In the coming months, Durst will present further details on its newest technology: Kyveris. This will include data architecture, AI integration, automation, and production intelligence, and outline the strategic roadmap ahead.

Christoph Gamper, CEO and co-owner of the Durst Group, explained, “Durst has never been a manager of the status quo. We have always been a creator of the next standard. After 90 years of precision engineering, we are taking the next logical step: production intelligence for digital printing and additive manufacturing. We no longer think of production as a machine or a workflow, but as an intelligent, continuously learning system. With Kyveris, we are defining the next evolutionary stage of digital production technology.”
