Charles River Apparel recently announced the promotion of Jason Lipsett to president, effective Sept. 12. Barry Lipsett, former president and Jason’s father, will continue to serve as CEO.

This promotion is said to mark a significant continuation of the company’s legacy as Jason, a third-generation leader of the Lipsett family, steps into this pivotal role that reflects the values and vision that have driven Charles River Apparel for over four decades.

According to Charles River Apparel, Jason’s promotion to president is a key milestone for the family-owned business, symbolizing the ongoing commitment to its founding principles while embracing change. Jason has been with the company for over a decade.

As president, Jason will focus on increasing market share and brand awareness through innovation, sustainability, and customer relationships. He is also structuring a team that is built for long-term success, ensuring that Charles River Apparel remains a leader in the industry for years to come.

As Charles River Apparel moves forward, the company states it is focused on understanding market needs and driving mutual success through listening and innovation. Under Jason’s leadership, the company will also prioritize modernizing the customer experience, expanding its product offerings, and leveraging digital strategies.

“Jason’s leadership and dedication have been pivotal in driving our recent successes,” said Barry. “He has an innate understanding of our business, our crew, and our customers. His promotion to president is not just a reflection of his accomplishments but a testament to his vision for the future of Charles River Apparel.”

Reflecting on his new role, Jason shared, “I feel a great responsibility stepping into this role, [and am] deeply mindful of what it means for our employees, our customers, and our community. I am committed to creating a work environment built around respect, teamwork, and a growth mindset. Our customers know they can trust Charles River Apparel for quality and reliability, and it is my goal to create even stronger partnerships that yield mutual success.”

Walter Lipsett, founder of Charles River Apparel, added, “Last year, we celebrated our 40th anniversary, and I have never been more excited about the company’s future. Jason has proven his ability to create a great team and partner with Barry to lead Charles River Apparel into its next chapter. I am confident they will guide the company towards an even brighter future, where our customers are at the heart of everything we do.”

A key strategic decision that Jason has championed in his new role is the hiring of Adam Heaslewood as chief revenue officer (CRO). Heaslewood will join the company on Sept. 12, the same day Jason takes on his new role. Reporting directly to Jason, Heaslewood will oversee the company’s sales and marketing efforts.

More recently, Heaslewood served as the vice president of sales at Therabody, leading all aspects of the commercial team for the sports vertical.

“What really stood out to me about Adam is his impressive track record and how closely his values align with those of Charles River Apparel,” remarked Jason. “Adam is deeply team-focused, driven, and has a vision that I believe will be key in shaping the future of our company, creating opportunities for both our employees and our customers.”

Heaslewood’s role at Charles River Apparel is designed to drive market expansion and brand awareness initiatives, ensuring the company continues to lead.

“I am humbled and excited to join Charles River Apparel and help shape the next stage of this company,” said Heaslewood. “There are lots of exciting opportunities for us to ‘grab an oar, take a seat in the boat, and work in tandem to get us to our destination.’”

Charles River Apparel stated it looks ahead to deepening customer relationships, expanding its product lines, and delivering even more value to its loyal customers.
