Charles River Apparel COO Joins PPEF Board of Trustees
Bruce Barnet will serve a three-year term on the board beginning January 2022
Charles River Apparel Chief Operating Officer Bruce Barnet is appointed as an incoming member of the Board of Trustees of the Promotional Products Education Foundation (PPEF). The PPEF is an industry nonprofit that supports academic excellence and performance among promotional professionals and their college-aged children, helping them pursue their scholastic dreams through a scholarship program.
“The promotional products industry thrives when both suppliers and distributors volunteer their time to ensure the future success of this industry,” says Barnet, who also serves as a volunteer member of the PPAI Strategic Foresight Committee and is said to be highly involved in Charles River Apparel’s philanthropic efforts. “The mission of ‘giving back’ resonates with me both personally and professionally.”
According to the company, as a trustee, Barnet will leverage his 10 years of finance and operations experience with Charles River Apparel to help drive the awareness, growth, and preservation of PPEF. His three-year term will begin at the conclusion of the PPEF meeting at the 2022 PPAI Expo on Jan. 9, 2022.
“The PPEF is involved with very meaningful work to help our members and their families,” says Barnet. “I truly love and enjoy being involved in this industry, and I am excited to do my part to help with the oversight and further development of PPEF.”
