Cap America announces promotions
Cindy Kelso is promoted to customer service training and development specialist, while Carter Newman is promoted to director of product development.
Cap America is pleased to announce the promotions of Cindy Kelso to the position of customer service training and development specialist and Carter Newman to director of product development.

Kelso, a key member of the team since 2010, has consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism, expertise, and dedication to both customers and colleagues. Kelso began her journey as a customer service representative, quickly earning a reputation for her positive attitude and strong work ethic. She was promoted to account executive in 2016 and has built lasting relationships and delivered top-tier service.
In her new role, Kelso will use her experience to mentor and develop new and existing employees, enhancing the skills of the customer service team. According to the company, her leadership and knowledge of Cap America’s services will be invaluable in strengthening the team’s capabilities.

Newman, who joined the company in 2024, will now lead the strategic vision for Cap America’s headwear line, driving innovation and profitability through effective product development and market insights.
In his new role, Newman will work closely with the product development team, overseeing the entire product development lifecycle to ensure that products meet consumer demands and align with the company’s goals. He will introduce innovative design processes and stay ahead of market trends, enhancing Cap America’s offerings in the competitive headwear market.
With a bachelor’s degree from Augusta State University and a strong background in product development and sales management, Newman quickly established himself as a valuable member of the Cap America team. His previous experience as national sales manager for sporting goods equipped him with critical insights into market dynamics and customer preferences, which he will leverage to forecast industry trends and identify new opportunities for growth.
