DALLAS-BSN SPORTS announces the acquisition of business lines from Longstreth Sporting Goods. The company says the move reinforces its “commitment to female athletes and coaches.”

Per the agreement, BSN has acquired Longstreth’s lacrosse and softball team sports businesses. The acquisition also grants BSN exclusive rights to supply uniform or team apparel and footwear to Longstreth’s field hockey team customers. Based in Spring City, Pennsylvania, Longstreth has served the lacrosse, field hockey, and softball markets for more than 40 years.

“Longstreth’s decades-long commitment to women’s sports includes steadfast and loyal support for field hockey, lacrosse, and fastpitch softball,” comments Terry Babilla, president of BSN Sports. “We are similarly committed to providing female athletes with equal resources and opportunities for success and look forward to building upon the strong foundation Longstreth has built while introducing BSN SPORTS’ expansive inventory selection and industry-leading technology.”

“Joining BSN SPORTS will provide our lacrosse, softball, and team apparel professionals the resources and support to grow their businesses and continue their excellent customer service in the future,” adds David Dahle, owner of Longstreth. “We wish the entire team all the best.”

The news comes as BSN ramps up 2020 with a series of acquisitions and deals. Late last month, the company inked an agreement with Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) and Nike for a multiyear apparel partnership.
