Atlantis Headwear, an Italian provider of blank headwear, partnered with Melloblocco, the world’s largest international bouldering gathering, to create a cap for the event’s 21st year, which took place from May 7-10 in Italy’s granite valleys of Val di Mello and Val Masino.

Melloblocco is not a competition but a community event that draws all demographics, from world-class athletes to amateurs. Participants challenge themselves against granite boulders scattered throughout the natural scenery of Italy’s granite valleys, including Val di Mello and Val Masino, which are surrounded by forests, meadows, streams, and waterfalls.

A significant aspect of Melloblocco is minimizing the event’s environmental impact, and good environmental practices are emphasized. According to Atlantis, the company shares these values, making it a natural partner for the event.

During the design process, Atlantis aimed to create a product that reflected the outdoor spirit of the event. This led the design team to choose the “Erie “— a lightweight, breathable, and water-resistant cap perfect for outdoor activities under the sun. From recycled mesh to dry-tech sweatband, this product meets a clean, versatile aesthetic with sport, nature, and community spirit.

Atlantis stated it is “proud to have partnered with an organization that shares its commitment to preservation and community building.” And that “the resulting cap was not only essential to the event, but also eco-conscious and meaningful.”
