Atlantis Headwear takes student creativity on the road with BigRock partnership
Atlantis created custom caps for students participating in the BigTour.

Atlantis Headwear is showcasing the potential of custom headwear beyond traditional branded merchandise through a collaboration with BigRock, a computer graphics and digital arts school, for its 2026 BigTour across the United States.
As part of the collaboration, Atlantis created custom caps for students participating in the BigTour, an educational journey that takes learning beyond the classroom through creative exchange, discovery, and real-world experiences. The project also challenges students to use Atlantis headwear as a creative element in photography and visual storytelling throughout the trip.
For the tour, Atlantis selected the Dad Hat Five, an unstructured five-panel cap made with 80% organic cotton and 20% recycled cotton. The style features a recycled ReTraze visor, adjustable metal closure, and lightweight construction.
Rather than limiting the project to logoed headwear, Atlantis worked with BigRock teachers to develop an open creative challenge. Selected Atlantis styles traveled with students across the United States, giving participants the opportunity to incorporate the caps into photographs inspired by the people, places, and experiences encountered along the way.
Students can wear the caps, place them within a scene, or incorporate them into a larger composition. The open format gives each participant the freedom to develop an individual interpretation while demonstrating how a promotional product can become part of a larger brand experience.
The collaboration offers a relevant example for promotional products distributors looking for ways to extend the impact of branded merchandise. By connecting a physical product with an interactive experience, the project demonstrates how custom headwear can encourage engagement, creativity, and a lasting connection to an organization or event.
“Promotional headwear has the opportunity to do more than display a logo,” said Marco Bortolotti, head of sales and marketing at Atlantis Headwear. “This project gives students the freedom to interact with the product creatively and make it part of their own experience. That connection is what can make branded headwear memorable.”
For Atlantis, the BigRock collaboration also provides an opportunity to see its products through the perspectives of emerging creatives while highlighting how distributors can approach custom headwear as part of a broader promotional campaign.
