Straighten Distorted Images in Corel Photo-Paint

How to alter images using the Straighten Image tool.

When we photograph, or receive photographs from clients, we often end up with less-than perfect images. That which we photographed is often crooked within the frame or distorted and appears to be doomed to such a fate forever; there is seemingly no way to fix the problem.

Enter the Straighten Image tool. Select your image, go to Adjust/Straighten Image, and a docker appears with a number of options to consider, mostly involving interactive sliders; move the slider and watch how it alters the image. The first slider is for correcting lens distortion. Generally, the image appears bloated (fat). The slider distorts the image back in the opposite direction (skinny), and it’s up to you to find the position on the slider where the image looks normal.
