Enacting Awareness at Your Place of Work

Awareness is where safety begins.

Make sure that you have done the little things to make you and those around you as safe as possible at your place of business. Awareness is where safety begins. Keep lights on when it gets dark, make sure that your front showroom is never empty, or at the very least visible by camera at all times, and know where land-line and cell phones are located, so in the event of an emergency, it is not difficult to notify the proper authorities.

Make sure your employees do not have to walk far or alone to their vehicle in the dark. Be careful that your back or side door does not lock when you take out the trash. Make sure your outside areas are all well-lit. These are little things but go a long way to making the environment around you as safe as possible.
