What is single-step self-weeding?

Single-step self-weeding involves a single-sheet self-weeding transfer paper, which is designed to release its polymer emulsion coating where ink or toner is applied to the sheet. Where no ink or toner is applied, the polymer emulsion is designed to remain on the backing sheet of the paper. Therefore, the polymer emulsion only releases where image is printed, and does not release a “solid film” to the fabric or garment.
