DALLAS-Varsity Brands partners with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to benefit cancer research. The company participates in a series of initiatives to help raise funds for the organization.

“Since 2011, the Team Up for St. Jude Spirited by Varsity program has carried the St. Jude message into schools and communities across the country,” the company explains on its website. “St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.”

Through its BSN Sports, Varsity Spirit, and Herff Jones divisions, Varsity has currently raised more than $5 million in the fight against childhood cancer. The company provides a wide range of items such as caps, gowns, and achievement products for the St. Jude school program and helps spearhead various fundraising campaigns. The current projects include a letter-writing campaign and two options for hosting events at schools around the country. Schools can opt to host a fundraising event at their gym such as a parents’ night or use a home team game as a fundraiser.

The company encourages interested schools to inquire in advance to coordinate fundraisers with upcoming games and other school events.
