CINCINNATI-TSC Apparel announces the acquisition of Thinc Actionwear. The Portland, Oregon-based company has operated as a promotional apparel supplier since 1980.

With the acquisition, TSC Apparel expands its distribution in the Pacific Northwest market. The company notes that because both TSC and Thinc serve the imprinted apparel industry with a focus on long-term relationships, the agreement is the “ideal complement” to the six other TSC distribution centers throughout the country.

“We are excited about the opportunity to serve Thinc’s customer base, and I believe they will also be pleased with everything that TSC has to offer,” states Bob Winget, CEO of TSC. “Being a local family-owned business for so long, Thinc is perfectly aligned with our ‘large enough to fill your needs, small enough to care’ philosophy.”

“We are excited about the positive impact this move will have on our customers-a greatly expanded product offering, deeper on-hand inventories, and a national next-day shipping footprint,” adds Fred Schroedl, president of Thinc Actionwear, commented. “I know TSC Apparel is a customer-focused company that will continue to provide our many loyal customers with the quality service that they’ve come to expect from Thinc Actionwear.”

The acquisition of Thinc comes as TSC continues to form partnerships and expand distributorships across the U.S. In spring 2017, the company announced it had formed an exclusive distribution partnership with former American Apparel CEO Dov Charney’s new basics line Los Angeles Apparel.
