Trotec Laser Opens New Facility in Brisbane

The Michigan-based company opened its first facility in Australia in 2012, and business has been growing steadily since.

Plymouth, Michigan-based laser engraving and cutting equipment maker Trotec Laser opens a new laser showroom and demonstration facility in Brisbane, Australia. The company says it aims to provide increased warehouse capacity and facilities.

The new 1,804 square foot facility offers two air-conditioned machine showrooms, one dedicated to the industrial sector; a laser inspiration room showcasing the latest materials, samples, and manufacturing techniques; training facilities; and room for the business to grow.

“We are very excited about our new south-east Queensland facility. Not only does it have a larger warehouse and office space to enable us to offer an unparalleled customer experience, it’s also home to the most advanced laser demonstration and training facility in Australia,” says Reece Moore, managing director, Trotec Laser Pty Ltd.

Since 2008, Trotec has experienced growth in both laser and consumables in Australia, according to a company press release. Trotec first established an office in Queensland in 2012, and since that time, outgrew the previous premises in Meadowbrook.

“The new facility offers Trotec a vehicle for growth, not only in Queensland but also Australia, and the ability to offer more products and services to meet the evolving demands of our customers. The investment by the Trodat Trotec Group is a testament to the success of the Australian subsidiary,” Moore adds.

An official opening held on February 19 was attended by Dr. Norbert Schrüfer, CEO of the Trodat Trotec Group; Simon Moore, managing director of Trotec Laser GmbH; and Reece Moore, managing director of Trotec Laser Pty Ltd. Also in attendance were Cameron Dick MP, Minister for State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning; and Melissa McMahon MP, state member for Macalister.
