On February 8-9 at Trotec Laser’s Regional Service and Support Center in Georgia, Trotec, IKONICS Imaging, and JDS Industries partnered to host a two-day technical workshop on lasers, sandcarving, and sublimation. Forty-one attendees from 30 different companies gathered, each of them submitting a registration fee and optional cost of dinner. Half of these earnings have been donated to Camp Kudzu, a Georgia-based children’s camp that offers programs to support the medical needs of children with Type 1 diabetes.

Marketing Manager Wendy Bergan says, “We wanted our participants to have some buy-in, so we decided to charge a low amount for the seminar to provide that connection and donate a portion of the proceeds to give back to the community in which the seminar was held.”

A total of $1,025 was given to Camp Kudzu.
