Sunbrella, a fabric brand manufactured and marketed by North Carolina’s Glen Raven Inc., announces that it has received four platinum awards in this year’s ADEX awards, competition.

The ADEX awards-the acronym stands for Awards for Design Excellence-are designed to recognize design excellence and product innovation and winners are chosen by interior designers, architects and facility managers.

Sunbrella, whose fabrics are used by consumers, designers and architects in commercial applications-awnings, for example-indoor and outdoor upholstery; marine; shade; and contract applications; won awards for its Bali and Fiji patterns by Arc|Com; Dickson Woven Flooring; and the Pendleton and Makers Collections.

The Sunbrella brand was launched in 1961 by Glen Raven, a 138-year-old family-owned company based in North Carolina but with operations worldwide.
