The Sayville, New York-based Sustainable Green Printing Partnership, a nonprofit that provides sustainability certification in the graphics communication industry, announces that Easton, Pennsylvania-based Majestic Apparel has become the first apparel company to receive SGP certification.

The company’s primary printing facility in Tampa, Florida, earned the certification. The plant prints roughly 25 million pieces of licensed apparel each year for Major League Baseball, the National Football League, National Basketball Association, Harley-Davidson and other clients.

Companies must meet strict criteria in order to earn an SGP certification.
