Sensory Interactive Names Tom Stipes Head of Strategic Initiatives

Tom Stipes' background includes sports marketing and digital signage, giving him a unique perspective to bring to his new company.

stipes_275Washington D.C.-based Sensory Interactive, which specializes in experiential digital platforms that may include LED walls, billboards and interactive kiosks, announces the appointment of Tom Stipes to the position of head of strategic initiatives.

In his new role, Stipes will be responsible for exploring new revenue opportunities related to next-stage, client-focused solutions, as well as looking at the potential for market innovation that will expand the Sensory Interactive brand throughout North America and around the world.

Stipes will also work with current and prospective Sensory Interactive clients to develop and define directions for deploying the firm’s comprehensive, revenue-generating services to address the needs of the client’s existing or planned promotional platforms. The company says his background and expertise as both a client and a consultant will allow him to help clients understand the value Sensory Interactive delivers in the areas of return on investment, audience engagement and analytics.

Stipes background includes more than 30 years of experience covering digital signage technology, software, sports, sponsorship sales, media production, and event marketing. His experience as an entrepreneur will help him to identify and develop domestic and international alliances for Sensory Interactive, the company says, as well as enable him to play an important role in the company’s brand positioning and strategic planning.

“Tom brings experience and expertise that will enhance our ability to help clients find ways to generate and expand consumer experiences and revenue opportunities across their portfolio,” says Sensory Interactive president and CEO Randy Byrd.

Byrd adds, “Tom has a truly unique background spanning the worlds of digital signage networks and sports marketing, and a rich understanding of the economics behind complex projects and business relationships. That background puts him in in an excellent position to help communicate with our clients about opportunities to expand their growth with new and existing projects.”

Stipes will be based out of the company’s Atlanta office, which opened in 2018.
