Italy-based adhesive films manufacturer Ritrama is beginning 2018 in its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Moore, South Carolina, just on the outskirts of Spartanburg.

The company first announced in the fall of 2016 that it would be investing $85 million into its new North American manufacturing plant, including upgrading the company’s manufacturing technologies and adding a new slitting and distribution center. The company says the site is centrally located in proximity to transportation routes and logistics networks to enable it to deliver product within 48 hours to the East Coast markets.

The logistics center is designed with the company’s most modern and productive technologies, it says, including advanced robotics for internal logistics and packaging as well as a fully automated storage and retrieval system for all its warehousing requirements.  The logistics platform will service not only North America, but also its exports to Central American and South American markets.

The company later said it would invest another $15 million into its Spartanburg facility, bringing its total investment in South Carolina to $100 million.

The Spartanburg facility serves all of North America, as well as exports to Central and South American markets.

The company also has two other North American production facilities in Minneapolis and Cleveland.
