NEW YORK-PVH Corp ranks as the No. 1 apparel company and number 48 overall on Corporate Responsibility (CR) Magazine’s annual 100 Best Corporate Citizens list. The list rates companies on environmental, social, and governance performance criteria.
“We are proud to receive this honor and be recognized as a leader in our industry,” says Emanuel Chirico, CEO of PVH. “As one of the world’s largest apparel companies, we recognize our responsibility to address our social and environmental impacts and contribute to a fair, healthy future for all.”
Chirico adds that the company acknowledges the opportunity to make “positive impacts; from source to store, by empowering the people in our value chain, preserving the environment, and supporting our communities.”
CR Magazine’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens List documents 256 data points, culled from publicly available information in seven categories: environment, climate change, employee relations, human rights, governance, finance, philanthropy, and community support. The list also ranks companies in the Russell 1000 Index.
PVH says it structures its corporate social responsibility program through ten commitments across three focus areas; empowering people; preserving the environment; and supporting communities.
