San Angelo, Texas-based LED signage module manufacturer Principal LED welcomes Sam DiMeo as its new executive vice president of sales.

DiMeo has earned multiple degrees in his life, including a master’s in business management; a bachelor of science in industrial management; and an associate of applied business degree in computer programming technology.

Following a stint with Proctor & Gamble, DiMeo worked 15 years at W.W. Grainger, which is where he completed company’s leadership development program and received several awards, including the company’s “Refuse to Lose” award in 2014; its “Delivering Results in an Uncertain World” award in 2013; its “President Club Grainger” award in 1995; and the annual “Achievers Award Grainger” in multiple years.

“We are excited to have Sam come on board,” says Blake Vincent, partner at Principal LED. “We believe that he brings a level of expertise that can help improve our sales efforts and strengthen our team even more.”

DiMeo was most recently at GE, where he was the general manager for specialty LED sales for North America. DiMeo has also served on multiple boards, such as the board of advisors for Mazzella Companies and B.W. Rogers.

“I understand how to listen to customers at all three levels; the sign OEM, distributor and end user,” DiMeo says. “Knowing what these three customers need is critical to our success. Once we understand the products that each customer needs, we can provide these products to help make their jobs easier. If we continue to do this as Principal has already demonstrated, the company’s success will continue.”
