WRAP certification

Penn Emblem renews certification for responsible production at its Mira Loma, California, facility. The facility qualifies for Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) gold status, a certification that recognizes companies that promote “safe, lawful, humane, and ethical manufacturing.”

WRAP certification judges companies on 12 principles, most of which focus on health, safety, security, and compliance with labor and environmental standards.

Penn Emblem maintains annual WRAP status at multiple locations. In 2016 the company’s Mexico facility received platinum status for the first time. WRAP platinum status is the highest certification level available.

The WRAP certification is the latest safety-related award for the Mira Loma facility. In March of 2016, the location received the Safety Achievement Award from Captive Resources, a consulting company that grades facilities on safety and loss prevention practices.
