Penn Emblem Mexico Chips in on Employee Back-to-School Supplies

As part of the initiative, the company donated backpacks and school supplies to employees with school-age children at the Penn Mexico facility.

Penn Emblem Mexico gives back to employees for the back-to-school season. Company president Randi Blumenthal-Joseph and Bob Wiberg, vice president of manufacturing, helped spearhead the project.

As part of the initiative, the company donated backpacks and school supplies to employees with school-age children at the Penn Mexico facility. The company distributed 99 bags to staff members, along with essentials like writing utensils and notebooks.

“It is no secret that the back to school season can be costly for many parents,” the company says in a press announcement. “At Penn Emblem Company, it is woven in the fabric of our culture and core values to take care of each other however we can.”

The facility is located in Santa Ana, Mexico. 

In addition to employee appreciation measures by company executives, the Santa Ana, Mexico facility has earned high marks in the past for workplace safety and health standards. In 2016 Penn Mexico achieved Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) platinum status for criteria like safety, security, and compliance with labor and environmental standards.
