Penn Emblem earns the National Women’s Business Enterprise Certification for 2019 from the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). The certification marks the ninth year Penn Emblem has held the WBENC certification.

The non-profit organization certifies businesses operated and owned by women. The WBENC also aims to fuel economic growth by certifying those businesses.

“Penn Emblem understands the importance of empowering women, which is why we are proud to accept our National Women’s Business Enterprise Certification for 2019,” says the company in an announcement. “WBENC fosters women-owned businesses, believing that supplier diversity promotes innovation and fuels economic growth globally.”

The WBENC’s selection process includes an in-depth review of each business it chooses, as well as an onsite inspection. Penn Emblem’s president and owner, Randi Blumenthal-Joseph, heads up the family-owned business founded by her father Robert Blumenthal. Blumenthal-Joseph has been at the helm since 2010.
