Pantone Unveils 2018 Color Trend Report for New York Fashion Week
Pantone Color Institute releases the 2018 Pantone Fashion Color Trend Report.

Pantone Color Institute releases the 2018 Pantone Fashion Color Trend Report, a color palette that highlights top colors used by designers at New York Fashion Week (NYFW). Similar to NYFW, the report suggests trending colors for the upcoming fall and winter seasons.
The 2018 collection features earthy, autumnal tones such as Red Pear and Martini Olive, as well as bright colors including the yellowish green Limelight and Russet Orange. The report also includes what Pantone refers to as its five core colors.
“While there is no ‘typical’ anymore, there remains a need for structure and foundation in everyday fashion,” explains the institute. “Our five core colors, easily worn across the seasons, are more crucial than ever.”
The core colors include dark blue hues like Sargasso Sea and more muted tones like the camel-colored hue Almond Buff.
For this year’s collection, Pantone plans to collaborate with Adobe Stock to curate a series of images which reflect the color palette.
