News From the Field: 3M Employee Honored by Department of Defense Program

Becky Jirava, who has been the HR director at 3M‘s Brookings, South Dakota, facility for the past 11 years, was recently honored by the South Dakota Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a Department of Defense program, for her work in support of employees of the company who are either military veterans or reservists.

Jirava was nominated by a co-worker who serves in the Army National Guard, and she received the ESGR’s Patriot Award in recognition of her support.

Jirava is part of the 3M Military Supportive Network, a company-wide initiative that was launched some 10 years ago.
