Tokyo-based information management company Konica Minolta announces the launch of a professional print division in Europe that will be headed up by industry veteran Charles Lissenburg.
According to the company, the new division has been created to reflect the growing importance of the industrial and commercial printing sectors as Konica Minolta becomes more customer focused and moves more into marketing, software and cross-media services to take print applications on to a new level.
Lissenburg will be charged with leading the teams that will focus on providing products and solutions that improve business efficiency and improve value for the company’s commercial and industrial printing customers, it says.
Lissenburg comes from Nuance Communications, where he was senior vice president of worldwide sales, imaging for three years. Prior to that, he was with EFI for 14 years.
Konica Minolta has been making a big push into the industrial printing markets in the past few years, as well as into the packaging and professional printing sectors.
