IKONICS Imaging announces the first winners of its 2016 Elite Medallion Hunt. Hidden inside a box of RapidMask film, Ray and Melissa Glenn of Jeannette, Pennsylvania-based Stenciled Stones found the first of two sandcarved golden Elite medallions.

Ray says that at first he assumed the medallion was a unique marketing tactic until a stone engraving friend in Michigan told him about the promotion and realized he was actually the owner of a new CrystalBlast Elite sandcarving machine. According to IKONICS, Ray immediately contacted the company with the news and received the machine shortly after. Ray says the couple is in disbelief. “I’m still waiting for IKONICS Imaging to send me a bill in the mail,” he adds.

With their new machine, the Glenns plan to expand Stenciled Stones’s offerings and focus on new industries such as personalized glass etchings including bar ware, gifts, awards and more.

The hunt is still on for the remaining Elite medallion, hidden in boxes of RapidMask sheets and RapidMask rolls of photoresist film, available through JDS Industries, an IKONICS distributor. The campaign will continue until both medallions are found.
