HB Communications Appoints Harris as COO

North Haven, Connecticut-based HB Communications, a provider of professional audio/visual solutions used in a variety of industries and applications, including digital signage, announces the appointment of Joel Harris as its new chief operating officer.

Harris was most recently president and CEO of Telerent Leasing Corp., where he led the expansion of Telehealth Services into audio/visual services by acquiring and growing Avidex and Digital Networks.

He comes to his new company with a broad base of experience, having worked in disparate roles across multiple industries including project design and management for Marathon Oil; management consulting with Ernst & Young; and product development, engineering and operations management for Pfizer. Joel is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and has a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from The Ohio State University and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler School at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
