Gyford Donates Portion of May Sales to Shriners Hospital for Children

The last fundraiser with Shriners in 2016 allowed the hospital to purchase a new surgical gurney.

For the month of May, Gyford will donate 10% of its Standoff Kit sales to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Customers can also receive an extra 5% discount for shopping with Gyford during this month.

“We thought giving a percentage of the sales from our May promotion to Shriners would lend Gyford customers a chance to be a part of the cause,” states Brad Wass, graphics/marketing coordinator at Gyford.

Gyford first partnered with Shriners in 2016 for the same promotion. Wass explains the last fundraiser with Shriners generated nearly $8,000, including a personal donation from Steve and Valerie Gyford. This allowed the hospital to purchase a much-needed surgical gurney, which replaced an old gurney that was well beyond its useful life.

“We help where we can,” states Wass. “We want to continue Steve and Valerie Gyford’s legacy of giving back to those less fortunate.”

Some of the other ways Gyford has given back so far this year is by having a local food bank barrel in company facilities; chipping in a truckload of books for a book fair; hosting a Build-a-Backpack program to provide school supplies to children of struggling families; and donating to the Pediatric Heart Center in Reno.
