GMG Retains Climate-Neutral Status

The country started supporting environmentally sustainable projects around the globe in 2009 to offset its CO2 emissions.

gmg_275x275Germany-based GMG, a developer and supplier of high-end color management software solutions with U.S. headquarters in Hingham, Massachusetts, announces that it has retained its status as a carbon-neutral company for the 10th straight year.

GMG GmbH & Co. KG, which is the full name of the company, achieved this milestone this year by supporting a forest protection project in Portel, Brazil.

GMG notes that every company generates harmful CO2 emissions, but the emissions can be offset by supporting climate protection projects that help remove CO2 from the atmosphere, such as the one the company supports in Brazil. GMG annually records the company’s carbon footprint and supporting projects such as this one in South America, which is certified according to international standards, offsets its emissions to the point that the company is considered climate-neutral.

More information about GMG’s climate-neutral status can be found here.
