LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga.-The Georgia Manufacturing Alliance (GMA) offers a tour of the World Emblem plant in Atlanta, Georgia on April 29.

The GMA is a membership-based industry organization for manufacturers and suppliers in the Georgia manufacturing community. The organization was founded in 2008 and offers manufacturing plant tours, networking opportunities, and educational training. The organization is compiled of six chapters that cover the entire state of Georgia.

According to the event page for the plant tour, attendees will learn about the textile industry while touring World Emblem’s 70,000-square foot facility which houses emblems, embroidered patches, high-visibility striping, transfer, and labels.

With over 25 year’s experience, World Emblem Atlanta produces 60,000 pieces that are manufactured and shipped same-day using its 400-plus embroidery heads and 12 heat press transfer cells.

The tour agenda for the event is as follows:

  • 10-10:30 a.m.           Registration, refreshments, and networking
  • 10:30-10:45 a.m.     Corporate presentation and safety briefing
  • 10:45-11:45 a.m.      Plant tour
  • 11:45 a.m.-12 p.m.   Wrap up and Q&A session

GMA requires all attendees wear close-toed, flat-bottom shoes.

Attendance is limited to two people per company and registration fees vary from $20-$60 depending on membership status.

For manufacturers who have never attended a GMA event, the organization offers a complimentary tour ticket.
