Gerber Using European Trade Show to Launch its MCT Digital Products Globally

Gerber says MCT's technology was what attracted it to buy the company.

gerbertechnology_275x275Tolland, Connecticut-based Gerber Technology, which makes products serving a variety of industries, including sign and graphics, announces that six months after acquiring New Berlin, Wisconsin-based MCT Digital, a manufacturer of digital, grand-format flatbed X/Y cutting systems, it will be expanding its offering of MCT’s technology worldwide, starting with the largest European trade show associated with the sign, graphics and printing markets.

Now called the Gerber MCT Cutter, the company calls it “the most versatile cutting solution on the market.” It is equipped with a 100-watt laser for textiles and acrylics, as well as 11 interchangeable tools and what Gerber calls “the industry’s most integrated production and vision-guided software, TigerVision.”

“We are excited to bring such strong innovation in digital finishing to the European sign & graphics and packaging markets, and look to build on Gerber’s deep heritage of automated finishing and integrated production software,” says Gerber Technology’s Scott Schinlever, president and chief operating officer for the company’s automation solutions division.

The Gerber MCT Cutter will be rolled out at the FESPA European Sign Expo in Munich in mid-May.
